Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Most homeowners may be unfamiliar with the costs associated with remodeling a section of their home because it's not a regular expenditure. Remodeling is usually a one-time or twice-in-a-lifetime project. We will help you understand how much home remodeling costs in the Broward, Miami-Dade, and Palm Beach area.
General Remodeling Questions
What affects the cost of a remodeling project?
The cost of remodeling is based on the size of the project, the age of your home, the materials you choose, the complexity of the project, and the cost to construct.
Do I have to pick out materials on my own?
You have the freedom to choose materials yourself. Nevertheless, we will support you in the selection process. No need to scour the town for tile or counters. Our wide array of materials will facilitate the selection process for you.
How do I get an estimate for my project?
The best way to start the estimate process is via our Contact Us page. A member of our team will contact you, provide our 'New Client Form' and schedule a phone consultation once completed.
How much does it cost to remodel?
The cost to remodel depends on the size of your project, age of your home, materials (level of finishes), complexity (keeping the same layout versus moving walls) and the cost to construct. Our pricing page will give you a general idea of what our remodeling projects typically cost.
When do I need to sign a contract?
Upon finalizing the design and estimate, the planning moves to the 'Project Development' phase. A 'Project Development Agreement' needs to be signed, accompanied by an initial payment between
40-60% of the project estimate; the initial payment percentage is solely determined by the project's
size and complexity. The remaining balance of the project would be due at completion.
During the "Project Development" phase, drawings are finalized, materials are chosen, and an agreement is signed. The initial payment is to cover initial project costs (materials, demo, labor, etc.).
How long does it take to remodel a kitchen?
Generally, it requires about 6-8 weeks to renovate a kitchen. However, more complex projects with wall movement or structural concerns may require additional time.
How long does it take to remodel a bathroom?
In most cases, remodeling a bathroom takes about 4-8 weeks. However, for projects with intricate components such as moving walls or dealing with mechanical or structural challenges, the timeframe may be extended.
What are the benefits of design-build?
Design-build teamwork ensures open communication, efficient project management, and proactive issue prevention to keep your project moving smoothly.
Is design-build remodel more expensive?
Design-Build streamlines cost by overseeing the project from concept to finish. A design-build team designs a space, purchases materials, stays in budget, and executes the construction.
The alternative is the design-bid-build approach, requiring homeowners to find subcontractors and materials themselves. Engaging in bidding and managing multiple contracts could lead to frustration, heightened labor costs, lower-quality materials, and significant time inefficiency.

Do you remodel an entire house or do additions?

When can you start my project?
Once you decide to remodel, we know you want to start immediately. The reality is that planning a remodel takes time. We follow a step-by-step process to ensure the success of your project. If you are in a rush and timing is an issue for you, we are not the right fit for your project. Most remodeling projects take weeks and months to develop. Decisions are made throughout the process, which takes time for many homeowners. You’ll need to choose cabinets, flooring, appliances, fixtures and more. While some people are decisive, others take weeks or months to make final decisions.
– Estimate Phase: This phase can take 2-4 weeks or up to months, depending on how quickly you decide to move forward.
– Project Development: Once you sign a ‘Project Development Agreement’ we expect to sign a contract 3-4 weeks later and your project to start in 3-12 months depending on various factors.
– Contract: Once you sign a contract and provide initial payment, we can begin to order your materials. If your project involves custom cabinetry, it takes 10-12 weeks to get cabinetry from the time the order is placed.
– Construction: Most kitchen and bathroom remodels take 6-8 weeks to complete, depending on the complexity of your project. Whole-home remodel take several months to complete.
